Tanzania’s Suluhu To Museveni: Your Victory Reflects Ugandans’ Confidence in Your Vision

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has congratulated President-elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his re-election as President of the Republic of Uganda, describing his victory as a reflection of the confidence and trust Ugandans have in his leadership.

In a congratulatory message, President Suluhu said she was conveying her warm wishes on behalf of the Government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania, noting that Museveni’s re-election underscores public confidence in his vision for Uganda.

“Your victory represents the confidence and trust the people of the Republic of Uganda have in your leadership and vision,” Suluhu said.

She also Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening the long-standing fraternal and historical relations between the two neighbouring countries, emphasizing cooperation for the mutual benefit of their citizens.

“I look forward to continuing working with you in deepening the fraternal and historical bond between our two countries, for the benefit of all our citizens,” she added.

Uganda and Tanzania share deep diplomatic, economic, and security ties, including cooperation within the East African Community (EAC), regional infrastructure projects, and cross-border trade. President Museveni’s re-election is expected to further consolidate bilateral collaboration on regional integration, peace, and economic development.
