Kampala, Uganda — Kayonde Abdallah, the trailblazing founder of Migrant Workers Voice and newly appointed global ambassador, has just graduated with an impressive Upper Second Class Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Nkumba University. This triumph crowns years of dedication to fighting for the rights and dignity of migrant workers facing injustice around the globe.
Since the founding Migrant Workers Voice in 2017, Kayonde has transformed the organization into a powerful platform tackling exploitation, human trafficking, and unfair labour practices. His recent global ambassador appointment elevates his voice on the world stage, driving urgent humanitarian diplomacy and international cooperation to protect vulnerable migrant workers.
Never one to rest, Kayonde is advancing his expertise through a master’s degree in Diplomacy and Global Studies and pursuing a diploma in laws at the Law Development Centre (LDC) Kampala. These academic pursuits sharpen his diplomatic acumen and legal insight, giving him the tools to challenge systemic barriers and shape fairer policies for migrant labourers.
Looking ahead, Kayonde is setting his sights on the political arena as an aspiring member of Uganda’s Parliament for the 2026-2031 term. His vision is to translate frontline advocacy into transformative legislation that safeguards labour rights and expands social justice for migrant and local workers alike.
