Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, has congratulated President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his re-election as President of the Republic of Uganda.
In a message shared on social media, Rodríguez praised President Museveni’s leadership on the African continent and his role as Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), describing Uganda as a sister republic and reaffirming the strong historical ties between the two countries.
“We congratulate President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his re-election to lead the sister Republic of Uganda. We recognize his leadership on the African continent and as Chairman of the NAM. We will continue to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between our two brotherly countries,” Rodríguez said.
Uganda and Cuba enjoy long-standing diplomatic relations marked by cooperation in health, education, and international solidarity, with both countries maintaining close coordination within the Non-Aligned Movement.
