Uganda’s main aviation gateway, Entebbe International Airport, is steadily unveiling a modern new look following a series of major infrastructure upgrades aimed at strengthening the country’s position as a regional travel and tourism hub.

The ongoing modernization project has introduced improved passenger facilities, expanded aircraft parking areas, upgraded baggage handling systems, and enhanced security and check-in areas. The developments are designed to increase passenger capacity and improve efficiency at Uganda’s busiest airport.

The upgrade forms part of the government’s long-term strategy to modernize national transport infrastructure and support growth in tourism, trade, and investment. Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, the airport serves as Uganda’s primary international gateway, connecting the country to key destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

With sleek new terminals, expanded aprons, and improved traveler amenities, the transformation of Entebbe International Airport shows Uganda’s ambition to meet growing global travel demand while offering passengers a more comfortable and efficient experience.
