Ugandan music heavyweight Bebe Cool has arrived in London for the UK leg of his global media tour promoting his sophomore album, Break The Chains.

Fresh off successful promo stops in Kenya and Tanzania, the Love You Everyday singer, real name Moses Ssali, touched down in the British capital on Monday night.

This trip marks yet another return to London for Bebe Cool, who has previously visited the city in various capacities—but this time, he’s on a mission to amplify the reach of his latest body of work.

London remains a global hub for Afrobeats, often referred to as its “Mecca” due to the vibrant African diaspora that fuels the genre’s evolution.

From Fela Kuti to Burna Boy, many Afrobeats icons have called London home, using the city’s cultural melting pot as a springboard to global success.

The UK capital has long been a launchpad for new African soundscapes, influencing everything from Azonto to Afrohouse and Afrotech.

It was also in London where Kanye West famously announced signing Nigerian superstar D’Banj—an iconic moment in Afrobeat history.

During his stay, Bebe Cool will appear on both traditional and digital platforms including podcasts, online shows, and major radio and television stations. He will also hold meetings with key tastemakers and influencers in London’s vibrant music scene.

A major highlight of Break The Chains is the Games track, produced by Kenyan-British DJ Edu, a pivotal figure in the UK Afrobeats movement through his show on BBC 1Xtra.

DJ Edu has already premiered his remix of Bebe Cool and Joshua Baraka’s Cheque on BBC, giving the song a prime spotlight on UK airwaves.

The UK tour is being coordinated in part by renowned UK-based Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide (Shopsydoo), who also hosted Bebe Cool’s album listening party in Kampala.

The duo is expected to work closely during the London media engagements.

This tour marks the beginning of a broader international rollout. After London, Bebe Cool is expected to visit more European cities before heading to the United States and other parts of the world.

With Break The Chains, Bebe Cool is not just sharing music—he’s making a bold cultural statement, further stamping Uganda’s mark on the global Afrobeats map.
