Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 15 Series in Uganda, unveiling three new smartphones — REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, REDMI Note 15 Pro, and REDMI Note 15 — built around what the company calls REDMI Titan Durability, alongside major upgrades in battery life, imaging, performance, and connectivity.
The new lineup targets users seeking long-lasting devices capable of handling everyday challenges, while delivering flagship-level features at competitive prices.
REDMI Titan Durability: Built for Everyday Use
At the core of the REDMI Note 15 Series is REDMI Titan Durability, a comprehensive durability framework spanning battery longevity, structural reinforcement, and dust and water resistance across all models.
Leading the series, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G features a 6,500mAh Silicon–Carbon (SiC) battery with 10% SiC content — a first for the REDMI Note Series. Paired with 100W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging, the device delivers fast charging and extended endurance. Xiaomi says the battery retains over 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to nearly six years of typical use.
The REDMI Note 15 Pro models integrate Xiaomi’s Surge battery management system, while the standard REDMI Note 15 is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, ensuring all-day performance across the lineup.
On durability, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G has earned SGS Premium Performance Certification, confirming resistance to drops, crushing, and bending. Built on the REDMI Titan Structure, the device combines a reinforced mid-frame, high-strength motherboard, multi-layer shock absorption, and Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2, enabling certified drop resistance of up to 2.5 meters. An ultra-tough fiberglass back panel further enhances impact protection without adding extra weight.
The series also raises the bar in dust and water resistance. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G meets IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, with certification for immersion at depths of up to two meters for 24 hours. The Pro and standard models also offer enhanced protection against splashes and spills, while Wet Touch 2.0 ensures screen responsiveness even when wet.
Advanced Imaging With AI at the Core
Photography receives a major boost across the REDMI Note 15 Series.
The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G debuts a 200MP ultimate-clarity camera, powered by a new 1/1.4-inch HPE image sensor. With 2× and 4× optical-level in-sensor zoom, triple-focal-length DAG HDR, and advanced AI processing, the camera delivers high-detail images across varied lighting conditions.
The Pro models support five focal lengths (23mm–92mm) through a single lens, enabling flexible shooting for landscapes, portraits, and close-ups. Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 15 features a 108MP super-clear camera, offering a 3× optical-level telephoto experience for everyday photography.
AI-powered tools such as Dynamic Shots 2.0, AI Remove Reflection, AI Beautify, and advanced portrait algorithms enhance creativity and simplify post-processing. Pro models feature the AI Creativity Assistant, while the standard model includes a suite of AI editing tools designed for casual users.
Performance, Connectivity, and Immersive Experience
Powering the flagship REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 4 platform, paired with the new Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system, delivering triple heat-transfer efficiency compared to conventional solutions.
Across the lineup, updated Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets provide improved performance and energy efficiency. All models support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, while the Pro+ 5G integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for more personalized AI experiences.
Connectivity is further enhanced with Xiaomi Offline Communication on the Pro models, enabling kilometer-level voice transmission without network coverage. The Pro+ 5G also includes the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, improving signal stability across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular networks.
For entertainment, the series features large AMOLED displays — 6.83 inches on the Pro+ 5G and 6.77 inches on the Pro and standard models — offering up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and triple eye-care certification. Audio is equally impressive, with up to 400% volume boost on the Pro+ 5G and 300% on other models.
