KYAMBOGO — The Manager of the Office of the NRM National Chairman, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has flagged off ONC coordinators to launch an aggressive grassroots mobilisation campaign ahead of the upcoming Local Council elections.
The coordinators were dispatched during an event held at the ONC headquarters in Kyambogo on Monday, where Namyalo challenged them to spread across the country, rally voters and deliver a decisive victory for the ruling National Resistance Movement.
“Go out and collect NRM victory like a bumper harvest,” Namyalo told the coordinators, urging them to leave no village, parish or constituency untouched during the mobilisation drive.
She tasked the teams with engaging communities directly, explaining the NRM’s achievements and ensuring that party supporters turn up in large numbers to back NRM candidates in the elections.
Namyalo said the Local Council structures remain critical to service delivery, security and mobilisation at the grassroots, warning that the party cannot afford to surrender them to the opposition.
The ONC Manager also cautioned coordinators against complacency, internal divisions and abandoning the grassroots after receiving deployment instructions.
She urged them to work closely with existing NRM leaders, youth groups, women’s organisations and other community structures to build a united campaign capable of sweeping the elections.
The flag-off ON on Monday, was the start of an intensified ONC mobilisation offensive as the NRM moves to consolidate its influence at village and local government levels.
