KAMPALA – Uganda’s Honorary Consul of Vietnam, King Ceasor Augustus Mulenga, has expressed profound gratitude to the Government of Vietnam following the renewal of his mandate, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

In a statement issued after meeting Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lê Hoài Trung, Mulenga described the renewed appointment as both an honour and a renewed call to serve.

“I offer my highest gratitude for the renewal of my mandate as Honorary Consul of Vietnam to Uganda,” Mulenga said.

He noted that the meeting had inspired “immense pride and renewed purpose” across his consular team, underscoring their commitment to promoting Vietnam-Uganda relations and providing support to Vietnamese nationals in Uganda.

Mulenga also praised Minister Lê Hoài Trung’s leadership in advancing Vietnam’s diplomatic and consular agenda.

“Thank you for setting a diplomatic standard as resolute as a mountain—championing our overseas citizens and fortifying consular missions globally,” he said.

As Honorary Consul, Mulenga plays a key role in promoting commercial partnerships, facilitating people-to-people exchanges, and supporting consular services between the two countries.

His renewed mandate is expected to further strengthen the growing relationship between Kampala and Hanoi, building on years of expanding cooperation and shared development interests.
