Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni have received international evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna C. Osborn at State House Entebbe, where they reflected on her family’s longstanding relationship with Uganda.
Dr. Osborn is in Uganda ahead of the consecration of Pastor Patience Rwabwogo as a Bishop.
In a post on X, President Museveni welcomed Dr. Osborn back to Uganda, recalling her first visit to the country in 1985 alongside her late mother, who ministered to many Ugandans during a difficult period in the country’s history.
Museveni said the meeting also brought back memories of the special relationship between the Osborn family and his family.
“Maama Janet also fondly recalled Dr. Osborn’s mother, who prayed with our family and gave our children their first Bibles,” Museveni said.

The President said the meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on Uganda’s transformation over the decades and the enduring friendship between the Osborn family and Uganda.
Dr. Osborn’s return comes more than four decades after her parents’ visit, highlighting the longstanding religious and personal ties established by her late mother’s ministry in Uganda. Pastor Patience Rwabwogo also attended the meeting.
Her parents, renowned evangelists Dr. T.L. Osborn and Dr. Daisy Washburn Osborn, established a strong missionary connection with Uganda through major evangelistic crusades, including the widely remembered Kampala campaign in 1985. Bishop LaDonna C. Osborn has continued that legacy of ministry and friendship with Uganda, returning to the country in 2025 for the Light Up Uganda for Jesus convention.
