Kampala, August 17, 2026 — The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has confirmed that it is undergoing an ongoing audit, while assuring clients, partners and the general public that its services remain uninterrupted.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 17, URSB acknowledged reports circulating online regarding audit processes at the Bureau and said the exercise is being conducted in accordance with established procedures and applicable laws.
“The audit is being undertaken in accordance with established procedures and applicable laws,” the Bureau said.
URSB emphasized that the ongoing process has not affected its ability to deliver services to the public.
The Bureau said it continues to provide services through its established channels and remains committed to transparency, accountability and professionalism.
“Service delivery remains uninterrupted,” URSB said, assuring clients and other stakeholders that its operations continue as normal.
The Bureau further said it will provide additional information where appropriate once the relevant processes have been concluded.
The statement comes amid online reports concerning the audit, although URSB did not disclose details about the scope, findings or specific issues being examined.
URSB is responsible for registration and regulation of businesses, companies, intellectual property, marriages and other legal entities and documents in Uganda.
