UG Diplomat compiled this ranking using guest ratings and review volume across major booking platforms, alongside recognition from the 2026 World Travel Awards, Africa’s benchmark for hospitality excellence.

1. Kampala Serena Hotel
The perennial favourite tops the list again. This luxurious 5-star property carries a guest rating of 9.6 on Expedia, and it also pulls in some of the highest review volumes of any hotel in the country.
