A high-powered delegation of 17 Ministers from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), led by Deputy Prime Minister Shabani Lukoo, is participating in the ongoing 9th Uganda–DRC Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) in Kampala.
The high-level engagements are aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Uganda and the DRC in key sectors including security, diplomacy, trade, infrastructure and regional integration.
Officials from both countries are deliberating on strategies to deepen economic ties, improve cross-border connectivity and enhance joint efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.
The Joint Permanent Commission comes amid growing cooperation between Kampala and Kinshasa on trade and security matters, especially in eastern DRC.
