Museveni Hosts Turkish Ambassador for Talks In Kisoz

GOMBA – President Yoweri Museveni on Monday held talks with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Uganda, Mehmet Fatih Ak, during a meeting at his Kisozi Farm in Gomba District.

According to a social media post by President Museveni, the meeting focused on issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation between Uganda and Türkiye for the benefit of the people of both countries.

“Today at my Kisozi Farm in Gomba District, I met H.E. Mehmet Fatih Ak, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Uganda. We discussed issues of mutual interest for the benefit of our peoples,” President Museveni said.

Although specific details of the discussions were not disclosed, the engagement underscores the existing diplomatic relations between Uganda and Türkiye, which continue to expand across trade, investment, defence, education, agriculture, infrastructure and development cooperation.

The meeting comes as Uganda continues to deepen its engagement with strategic international partners in pursuit of economic transformation and mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
