Museveni, Janet, Nigeria’s Adeboye and U.S’ Osborne to Grace Patience Rwabwogo’s Consecration as Bishop

KAMPALA, Uganda – Covenant Nations Church has announced that Pastor Patience M. Rwabwogo will be consecrated to the Episcopal Office of Bishop during a solemn service on August 23, 2026, marking a major milestone for the church as it celebrates 20 years of ministry.

The consecration ceremony will be held at Covenant Hill, Maya, and is expected to draw thousands of worshippers, clergy, and dignitaries from Uganda and abroad.

According to the official event programme, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni will attend as Guests of Honour, underscoring the national significance of the occasion.

The service will be presided over by internationally renowned American evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborne, while Nigerian Pentecostal leader Pastor Enoch Adejare (E.A.) Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, are expected as special guests.

The event will also feature worship ministry by Helen Yilma and Emanuel Roro.

A scripture drawn from 2 Kings 2:9 forms the theme of the consecration:

“…I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, founder and lead pastor of Covenant Nations Church, has described the consecration not as a personal promotion but as a divine calling carrying greater responsibility to serve God’s people. The ceremony coincides with the church’s 20th anniversary, celebrating its growth from a small house fellowship into a ministry with influence across Uganda and beyond.

The service is expected to be one of Uganda’s largest Christian gatherings of 2026, bringing together local and international church leaders, believers from different denominations, and prominent public figures in celebration of two decades of Covenant Nations Church’s ministry and the episcopal consecration of Pastor Patience Rwabwogo.
