SFC Launches Probe into Alleged Officer Misconduct Following Mark Agaba’s X Post

The Special Forces Command (SFC) has launched an internal investigation into allegations of misconduct by its officers, following a statement issued by Mr. Mark Agaba accusing some personnel of high-handedness.

In an official communication dated May 20th, 2025, State House Uganda confirmed receipt of Mr. Agaba’s statement and emphasized that the SFC has taken “deliberate steps to investigate the matter to establish its full details.”

According to the statement, Mr. Agaba has been contacted to provide additional information and assist in linking investigators with the alleged victim. Authorities hope this cooperation will lead to the identification and apprehension of individuals responsible for the alleged abuse.

“The SFC has also, with immediate effect, instituted an internal probe into the matter,” the statement reads. In a call for transparency and community involvement, the SFC appealed to the general public and any individuals with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigations.

While no specific details were provided regarding the alleged incident, the move to investigate internally and involve the public speaks of a notable step toward accountability and to allay any public concerns.

“We thank you and pledge to get to the very bottom of this matter,” the statement concluded.

The SFC is an elite unit responsible for the security of the President and other high-value installations. Under law, the presidential motorcade is guaranteed right of way.
