In a bid to fortify Uganda’s diplomatic ties with the European Union (EU), Foreign Affairs state minister John Mulimba held a significant meeting with Ambassador Jan Sadek, the Head of the European Union to Uganda, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in Kampala.

The high-level meeting was orchestrated to enhance the existing relations between Uganda and the EU, emphasizing mutual cooperation and collaboration across various domains, including socio-economic development, trade, governance, and humanitarian efforts.

Both Hon. Mulimba John and Ambassador Jan Sadek discussed strategies aimed at fostering deeper engagement and partnership between Uganda and the European Union. Emphasizing the significance of this dialogue, the discussions delved into avenues for increased cooperation, exploring opportunities for joint initiatives that could benefit both entities and their respective constituencies.

Key areas of focus during the meeting included initiatives related to sustainable development, humanitarian aid, trade facilitation, and strengthening democratic principles within Uganda. The discussions highlighted a mutual commitment to bolstering these aspects through collaborative efforts and shared expertise.
