PHOTOS: Ambassadors, Envoys Light up Kololo At Museveni Swearing-in

Diplomatic firepower was on full display as ambassadors, high commissioners and foreign envoys from across the world graced President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony at Kololo on May 12, 2026.

The diplomatic corps arrived in motorcades under tight security, with many seen engaging in strategic conversations before the ceremony began.

Representatives from African nations, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and international organizations joined Uganda’s political elite in witnessing Museveni begin another term in office.

The presence of diplomats highlighted Uganda’s growing role in regional peace efforts, trade diplomacy and security cooperation across the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa regions.

Several envoys were also seen interacting with ministers and senior government officials on the sidelines of the ceremony, turning the event into a mini diplomatic summit.
