June 2, 2026

President Yoweri Museveni has met with the outgoing United States Ambassador to Uganda, William W. Popp, at State Lodge Nakasero, where the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and cooperation between Uganda and the United States.

In a statement issued after the meeting, President Museveni thanked Ambassador Popp for his service during his tenure in Uganda and commended his contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.

Museveni also wished the outgoing diplomat success in his future assignments and endeavours.

"I wish him good luck in his future assignments and endeavours," the President added.
