Over 10k People to Benefit as PM Nabbanja Launches Huawei’s DigiTruck Training In Kakumiro

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has officially commissioned the Huawei DigiTruck training program in Kakumiro district. This initiative aims to equip over 10,000 Ugandans with essential digital skills within the next three years.

During a recent meeting with the Huawei team, Prime Minister Nabbanja expressed her enthusiasm for the DigiTruck project’s potential to revolutionize digital education across the nation.

The project, which has garnered support from the Ugandan government, will see mobile training units deployed to various regions, including Kakumiro and other areas in Uganda.

In her address to the public, Prime Minister Nabbanja emphasized the importance of embracing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in today’s digital age. “ICT is the way to go,” she declared, highlighting the global shift towards digitalization and urging Ugandans to seize the opportunities it presents.

Acknowledging Huawei’s significant contribution to digital education and transformation in Uganda, Prime Minister Nabbanja commended the tech giant for its dedication to empowering Ugandan citizens with essential digital skills.

The collaboration between the government and Huawei reflects a commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all Ugandans have access to the tools they need to thrive in the digital era.
