Museveni Lands in Tanzania, to Seal New Agreements With Suluhu

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for a two-day working visit at the invitation of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, in a trip expected to deepen bilateral ties and advance regional cooperation.

Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, President Museveni was received by Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Mahmoud Thabit Kombo.

During the visit, President Museveni and President Samia are scheduled to hold bilateral talks focusing on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade and investment, infrastructure development, energy, transport, tourism, peace and security, and East African regional integration.

The two Heads of State are also expected to witness the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening collaboration between Uganda and Tanzania before addressing a joint press briefing.

The working visit underscores the growing strategic partnership between the two neighbouring countries, which continue to cooperate on major infrastructure projects, cross-border trade, energy development and efforts to promote peace, stability and economic integration across the East African region.
