VP Alupo Joins World Leaders, to Deliver Uganda’s Statement at UN General Assembly

New York – Uganda’s Vice President, H.E. Jessica Alupo, has arrived in New York to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80).

She was received at John F. Kennedy International Airport by Uganda’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amb. Adonia Ayebare, and Uganda’s Ambassador to the United States, Amb. Robie Kakonge.

Alupo is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on Thursday, September 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM, where she will present Uganda’s position on key global issues including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, and international cooperation.

Beyond her address, the Vice President is also expected to hold several bilateral meetings with heads of delegations from different countries, aimed at strengthening Uganda’s diplomatic ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.

The 80th UN General Assembly has brought together world leaders to deliberate on pressing global challenges, providing Uganda with a platform to contribute its voice on issues of international importance.
