Former US President Barack Obama announced his support for Kamala Harris in her bid for the presidency, declaring that he and his wife, Michelle Obama, believe she would make a fantastic President of the United States.
“We called our friend Kamala Harris earlier this week and expressed our full support for her campaign,” Obama said. “At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November.”
The endorsement from the Obamas comes at a critical time in the election cycle, as candidates ramp up their efforts to secure voter support ahead of the upcoming November election. With Kamala Harris already serving as the Vice President, her candidacy is viewed by many as a continuation of the progressive policies and values that marked the Obama through to the Joe Biden administration.
