Uganda – EU Collaboration Set to Unveil 3rd Business Forum in 2024

In a collaborative effort to bolster economic ties and pave the way for fruitful partnerships, the 5th board meeting of the Sustainable Business for Uganda Platform (#SB4UPlatform) witnessed the convergence of Team Europe representatives alongside the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, and a consortium of key private sector entities in Uganda.

The meeting, graced by the presence of State Minister Hon. Amos Lugoloobi from the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, along with officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, focused on discussions aimed at catalyzing collaborative initiatives between the European Union and Uganda.

A pivotal highlight of the gathering was the strategic planning for the forthcoming 3rd #EUandUganda Business Forum slated for 2024. The discussions revolved around fostering a conducive environment for trade, investment, and partnership opportunities between European stakeholders and Ugandan businesses.

The forthcoming Business Forum seeks to serve as a catalyst for fostering mutually beneficial relationships, amplifying trade opportunities, and exploring avenues for collaborative ventures across various sectors pivotal for Uganda’s socio-economic advancement.

The collaborative efforts witnessed during the 5th SB4U Platform meeting underscore the commitment of both the European Union and Uganda in strengthening ties, fostering inclusive economic growth, and creating an enabling environment for business synergies.
