Two people arrested over the murder of Ugandan athlete in Kenya

Police in Eldoret, Kenya have arrested two  suspects believed to have been involved in the murder of Kenyan-born Ugandan Athlete, Benjamin Kiplagat.

The athlete was found dead in his car on Sunday Morning at Kimumu estate in the outskirts of Eldoret town.

While confirming the arrest, Moiben Sub-county Police Commander Stephen Okal, said one of the suspects was apprehended within Uasin Gishu while the other was arrested in the Neighbouring Trans Nzoia County.

Police said they relied on CCTV footage obtained from the scene of crime and other technical clues to pursue and arrest the suspects.

The suspects will be arraigned in Court on Tuesday.
