A delegation from the Government of Sevastopol visited Uganda from February 18 to 22. The primary objectives of the visit were to explore potential business ventures, enhance bilateral trade relations, and establish educational partnerships.
During their stay, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with key figures, including Mr. Fabrice Brad Rulinda, the Mayor of Entebbe, and Ms. Olive Kigongo, the President of Uganda National Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Meetings with representatives from various business circles were also instrumental in paving the way for potential collaborations.
A notable outcome of the visit was the signing of a significant agreement between the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas in Sevastopol and Uganda’s Nkumba University. This agreement focuses on fostering cooperation in the fields of science and education, marking a milestone in the bilateral relations between the two regions.
The collaborative efforts aim to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, research, and educational initiatives between Sevastopol and Uganda. The agreement is expected to contribute to the development of scientific endeavors and educational advancements in both regions.
The Sevastopol delegation expressed optimism about the prospects for mutually beneficial partnerships, emphasizing the shared commitment to strengthening ties between Sevastopol and Uganda.
