PS Bagiire, Venezuelan Envoy Fatima Discuss Strengthening Economic Ties & Plan Joint Cooperation Summit

Mr. Bagiire Vincent Waiswa, the Permanent Secretary (PS) of Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has met and held talks with the Venezuelan Ambassador to Uganda, Her Excellency Fatima Fernandes Juarez.

Expressing Venezuela’s eagerness to bolster economic collaboration with Uganda, H.E. Juarez announced plans for the inaugural Joint Commission of Cooperation meeting, slated to convene in Caracas this September. She emphasized the Venezuelan Government’s preparedness to host this significant gathering.

In response, PS Vincent Bagiire warmly embraced H.E. Juarez’s initiative, affirming Uganda’s enthusiastic participation in the Joint Commission of Cooperation meeting.

He emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to ensuring the event’s success and reiterated Uganda’s steadfast commitment to fortifying ties with Venezuela.

Bagiire concluded the meeting by expressing his anticipation for continued collaboration with Venezuela, underscoring the mutual objectives both nations aspire to achieve.
