PLU Stops Issuing Muhoozi Endorsement Books

October 31, 2026

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has announced that all endorsements supporting General Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni as Uganda’s next president will henceforth be conducted exclusively online.

In a notice issued on Saturday, October 31, 2026, PLU General Secretary Twalla Fadil said the organisation would use its official website, plu.org.ug, for the endorsement exercise.

The announcement follows guidance issued by PLU Chairman General Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni regarding the organisation’s endorsement exercise and ongoing activities.

Fadil said the organisation would establish offices at regional and district levels to facilitate online registration, endorsements and the issuance of Patriotic Cadre (PC) numbers.

The PLU has also directed its endorsement officers and coordinators to collect completed endorsement books from sub-counties and deliver them to the secretariat by November 30, 2026, for compilation.

According to Fadil, the organisation has stopped issuing new endorsement books as it transitions to the online process.

PLU to expand grassroots activities

The organisation will continue conducting community Barazas, with a renewed focus on its anti-corruption campaign, medical camps and the provision of legal guidance to members of the public.

Fadil said the PLU would officially commence the establishment and opening of offices in all regions and districts across the country to strengthen its presence and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

The announcement marks a shift in the organisation’s endorsement process while outlining plans to expand its administrative and community activities across Uganda.
