Last evening, the Kigali Convention Centre witnessed a spectacular gathering as Rwandan President Paul Kagame hosted a prestigious cocktail in honor of the members of the Ntare School Old Boys Association (NSOBA).

The occasion came on the eve of the grand finale of the Ntare Lions League football tournament, a historic event taking place for the first time outside of Uganda.

Ntare Lions League, a renowned football competition among alumni of Ntare School in Mbarara City western Uganda, has gained regional acclaim for its competitive spirit and camaraderie.
This year’s decision to hold the finals in Kigali not only elevated the tournament’s profile but also served as a platform to foster relations between Uganda and Rwanda.
Amidst an atmosphere of excitement and nostalgia, President Kagame on OB himself of Ntare School, welcomed the NSOBA members to Kigali, expressing his delight at hosting such a significant event on Rwandan soil.
He commended the Old Boys for their commitment to fostering unity and friendship through sports, emphasizing the positive impact of such initiatives on regional relations.
It provided a platform for the Old Boys to share fond memories of their alma mater and discuss the upcoming opening of Ntare School, Rwanda. The school, steeped in history, is set to commence operations in the country later this year.
