President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially launched the 10th Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo at Speke Resort Munyonyo, highlighting Uganda’s favourable climate, rich cultural heritage, peace, and natural beauty as key pillars that make the country a unique global tourism destination.

Addressing concerns about the Ebola situation, Museveni assured both Ugandans and international visitors that there is “no cause for alarm,” emphasizing that the government is implementing targeted scientific measures to protect lives while ensuring the economy remains fully open and operational.

The President further noted that as Uganda advances toward upper-middle-income status, government will continue improving the tourism experience, including introducing more visitor-friendly visa arrangements aimed at attracting more international tourists.

Museveni welcomed the world to visit and explore Uganda, famously known as the “Pearl of Africa.”
