Museveni, CAR President Discuss Peace, Bilateral Relations

Central African President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, is in Uganda for a three-day official visit, aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering collaboration between the two nations.

His host, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received on his counterpart on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of peace, development, and mutual prosperity as key pillars of their discussions.

The two leaders held high-level talks, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring ways to harness the vast natural resources within their countries. President Museveni underscored the need for strategic cooperation in areas of economic growth, regional security, and sustainable development.

“Together, we engaged in fruitful discussions on enhancing our bilateral relations, promoting peace, and tapping into our abundant resources for mutual development,” Museveni remarked.

President Touadéra’s visit comes as Uganda gears up to celebrate its 62nd Independence Day Anniversary. President Museveni expressed his eagerness to mark this milestone with the spirit of cooperation that both nations share. “I look forward to celebrating our shared commitment to prosperity during the 62nd Independence Day Anniversary,” Museveni added.
