Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni, on Monday welcomed His Royal Highness Edward Antony Richard Louis, the Duke of Edinburgh, on a courtesy visit at Entebbe. According to reports, the Duke’s three-day visit primarily focuses on the Duke of Edinburgh International Award initiative, reflecting on the commendable social linkages it fosters.

In a tweet, President Museveni praised the initiative for its emphasis on discipline and care for humanity, values that resonate deeply with his own vision for Uganda. He acknowledged the significance of the Duke’s patronage of the award, which he accepted at His Royal Highness’ request.
