Minister Oryem challenges foreign missions on attracting FDIs to boost trade

During a diplomatic visit to Uganda’s embassy in Ankara, Turkey, Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, the Minister of State of Foreign Affairs International Cooperation, emphasized the importance of strategic initiatives to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) and bolster trade volumes.

Hon. Oryem urged Foreign Missions to adopt proactive measures, taking cues from successful models like Turkey, to elevate Uganda’s global economic standing.

Highlighting the significance of promoting Ugandan products on the international stage, Hon. Oryem emphasized the need for concerted efforts to double trade volumes.

He emphasized the importance of leveraging Uganda’s unique offerings to capture the attention of potential investors and trading partners.

The Minister’s remarks underline Uganda’s commitment to fostering economic growth through international cooperation and strategic engagement. By encouraging Foreign Missions to take the lead in promoting Ugandan interests abroad, Hon. Oryem aims to position Uganda as an attractive destination for investment and trade partnerships.
