Kampala Mayor Uhuru, Ethiopia Envoy Discuss strengthening People-to-People relations Through Ug-Ethio Festival

Kampala City Central Division Mayor, Salim Saad Uhuru, warmly welcomed a high-profile delegation from the Ethiopian Embassy in Uganda, led by Ambassador Etsegenet Yimenu, in a bid to enhance and solidify the existing ties between Uganda and Ethiopia.

The meeting, which took place at the Mayor’s office, centered on exploring collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering stronger people-to-people relations between the two nations. One of the primary focal points of discussion was the Ethio-Ug Festival, along with various other programs geared towards cultural exchange and mutual enrichment.

Mayor Salim Saad Uhuru expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, emphasizing the historical and cultural bonds that unite Uganda and Ethiopia. He highlighted the potential of joint programs and events to not only celebrate shared heritage but also to deepen understanding and appreciation between the citizens of both countries.
