Konshens, a celebrated figure in the Jamaican music industry, is known for his dynamic style and global appeal, solidifying his status as a music sensation in the international music scene.
Gen Kainerugaba and Konshens discussed the potential for collaboration between the Jamaican and Ugandan music industries.
He also highlighted the shared opportunities and vibrant music scenes in both countries.
Konshens’ visit to Uganda also included his headline performance at the Blankets and Wine music festival, where his electrifying performance captivated attendees and further solidified his connection with the local music community.
Jamaica’s creative sector generated approximately US$2.2 billion in earnings during 2022.
The sector accounts for 5.2 per cent of Jamaica’s gross domestic product (GDP), and three per cent of direct and indirect employment.
