Diplomatic Unity: Uganda and Rwanda Prime Ministers Discuss Strengthening Relations and Joint Projects

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja of Uganda met with her Rwandan counterpart, Dr. Édouard Ngirente, at an official meeting held at the Ugandan Prime Minister’s office. The gathering aimed to discuss the outcomes of the recently concluded Non-Aligned Movement and G77 and China summits in Kampala, where Dr. Ngirente represented Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Both Prime Ministers commended the longstanding warm diplomatic relations between Uganda and Rwanda. A significant portion of the discussion focused on potential collaborations, particularly in the context of beautification initiatives for the capitals, Kampala and Kigali.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key figures, including Minsa Kabanda, the Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, and Harriet Ntabazi, the Minister of State for Trade. Technical Officers from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies were also in attendance, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the discussions.

As Uganda and Rwanda continue to strengthen their ties, the collaborative efforts discussed during this meeting are expected to further enhance the cooperation between the two nations, fostering mutual development and prosperity.
