KAMPALA, Uganda — Technology services provider Dimension Data Uganda has officially rebranded as NTT DATA, marking a significant milestone that aligns its local operations with one of the world’s largest technology and digital transformation companies.

Announced on Thursday, the transition strengthens the company’s commitment to supporting Uganda’s digital transformation agenda by bringing expanded global expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking and managed technology services to local businesses.

The rebranding follows the company’s full integration into NTT DATA, a global business and technology services leader with operations in more than 70 countries and annual revenues exceeding US$30 billion.

Uganda’s digital economy continues to expand rapidly, driven by increased adoption of digital financial services, government digitalisation initiatives, wider internet access and growing demand for secure digital infrastructure across sectors such as banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, education and healthcare.

At the same time, businesses are under increasing pressure to modernise legacy systems, strengthen cybersecurity and adopt emerging technologies such as AI to improve efficiency, competitiveness and customer experience.

NTT DATA Uganda Country Manager Euniah Nyandieka said the transition enables the company to deliver broader technology solutions tailored to Uganda’s evolving business landscape.

“The move to NTT DATA will help us deliver broader technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses in Uganda. By combining our strong local expertise with NTT DATA’s global capabilities, we can help organisations accelerate digital transformation with secure, scalable and AI-driven technologies that improve operational efficiency, resilience and long-term growth,” she said.

Nyandieka added that the new identity represents both the company’s growth in Uganda and its ambition to play a larger role in driving innovation across the country.

“This marks an important milestone for our business in Uganda and reflects both how far we have come and where we are going. As NTT DATA, we are strengthening our commitment to clients and partners by combining deep local market understanding with broader global capabilities, stronger innovation ecosystems and advanced technical expertise to help organisations accelerate their digital transformation journeys.”

The company believes the expanded portfolio will enable Ugandan enterprises to scale faster through advanced digital solutions while benefiting from NTT DATA’s global research, innovation ecosystem and significant annual investment in research and development.

As part of the NTT Group, NTT DATA serves 75% of the Fortune Global 100 companies and invests more than US$3 billion annually in research and development, positioning Uganda’s local market to access world-class digital technologies and expertise.
