Deputy Speaker Tayebwa Discusses Parliamentary Collaboration, Visas with Turkish Envoy

On Tuesday, the Deputy Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, held talks with the Ambassador of Turkey to Uganda, H.E Mehmet Fatih Ak.

Their discussions focused on matters of mutual interest aimed at enhancing cooperation between their respective countries.

One of the key topics addressed was the strengthening of parliamentary collaboration between Uganda and Turkey. Both parties expressed a commitment to fostering closer ties and exchanging experiences to promote legislative development.

Additionally, the issue of visa processing for Ugandans traveling to Turkey was deliberated upon. The Deputy Speaker emphasized the importance of facilitating smooth visa procedures to encourage cultural and economic exchanges between the two nations.

Ambassador Mehmet Fatih Ak expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him during his visit, stating, “The pleasure is all mine Rt. Honorable Deputy Speaker. It was a fruitful meeting. I am grateful for your warm and gracious hospitality.”
