China flies in experts to train Ugandan engineers, drivers on use of SUVs donated for NAM, G77+China summits

China’s ambassador to Uganda, Zhang Lizhong, has confirmed an innovative partnership between Chinese experts and Ugandan engineers aimed at ensuring the seamless operation of 140 SUVs generously granted by China for the upcoming Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China summits.

In a joint effort, Chinese experts arrived in Uganda to collaborate closely with local engineers, initiating an intensive training program. The primary objective is to equip Ugandan drivers and maintenance personnel with the necessary skills to handle and upkeep the fleet of vehicles provided by China.

This joint initiative between Chinese experts and Ugandan engineers not only underlines the strength of our bilateral relations but also focuses on capacity-building within Uganda. It aligns with our commitment to ensure the success of these crucial summits.

The training sessions encompass various aspects of vehicle operation, maintenance protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
