CDF Gen. Muhoozi, Czech Delegation Discuss Security Collaboration

Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, hosted a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

Led by Ms. Katerina Sequensova, the Director General for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation of Czech Republic, the delegation engaged in discussions at the Special Forces Command (SFC) Headquarters.

Ms. Sequensova was accompanied by Mr. Jan Spiler, Chief of Intergovernmental Defence Cooperation, Lt. Col. Borijov Jurenka, the Military and Air Defence Attaché, and Mr. Vaclav Prasil, Director of Sub-Saharan Africa.

The meeting, characterized by diplomatic cordiality, discussed various aspects of security collaboration and bilateral relations between the two nations. Gen. Muhoozi expressed the Uganda’s commitment to enhancing security measures and fostering regional stability.

Ms. Katerina Sequensova conveyed the Czech Republic’s eagerness to explore avenues for collaboration with Uganda, particularly in the realm of defense and security. Highlighting the importance of mutual cooperation, she emphasized the shared interests and challenges that both countries face in the contemporary global security landscape.

During the discussions, key areas of potential collaboration were identified, including training programs, intelligence sharing, and capacity-building initiatives. Both parties acknowledged the significance of such engagements in addressing common security threats and promoting peace and stability in their respective regions.

The delegation also included Ambassador Nicol Adamcova and Mr. Stephen Kaboyo, the Czech Republic Honorary Consul in Uganda, among others.
