Qatar Airways has announced a significant increase in its flight frequency to Entebbe, Uganda, to meet rising summer demand.

From 1 August to 30 September, the airline will operate 11 weekly flights between Doha and Entebbe, up from its current daily service.

Hendrik du Preez, Qatar Airways’ Vice President for Africa, highlighted the improved connectivity for passengers travelling from Uganda to various global destinations. He emphasised the airline’s commitment to enhancing air connectivity across Africa and fostering stronger economic ties.

The expansion is part of Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to tap into Africa’s growing market potential. The airline has recently added several new African destinations to its network, including Kinshasa, Abidjan, and Harare.

With 180 weekly flights to various African destinations, Qatar Airways is demonstrating its long-term commitment to the continent. The airline’s expansion is expected to contribute significantly to Africa’s aviation sector growth, with passenger traffic forecast to nearly double by 2035.
