According to Dr. Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary of Uganda’s Ministry of Health, the agreement indicates Uganda’s commitment to improving cancer care and expanding research collaborations.

“This partnership is a key milestone in our efforts to enhance cancer treatment and research in Uganda. By training and supporting healthcare professionals, strengthening collaboration in cancer research, and assisting in the formulation and implementation of the National Cancer Control Program, we are taking crucial steps toward better cancer management in our country,” Dr. Atwine stated.
