The Pearl of Africa Hotel will on January 13, 2026, host a major youth mobilisation conference dubbed “Youth Power Decide 2026,” an event fully organised and supported by AYA Group, bringing together an estimated 15,000 youth leaders from all divisions across the country.

The conference is politically aligned with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and is aimed at mobilising, empowering, and uniting young people ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Organisers say the forum will focus on leadership, discipline, unity, and the role of youth in national development, in line with President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign message of protecting the gains.

According to the press briefing issued by Aya boss, Mohammed Hamid, a formal invitation has been extended to His Excellency the President to attend and address the youth during the main conference session at the Pearl of Africa Hotel.

One of the key highlights of the day will be a peaceful and well-organised youth march to Kololo, expected to take place after the conference. Sources indicate that the mobilisation will give the event strong national visibility, with parts of Kampala expected to “turn yellow” as a show of organised youth support for the NRM.

AYA has committed to providing full logistical and operational support, including transportation, branded T-shirts, food and refreshments, entertainment, and overall event coordination. The organisation has also pledged to support future youth-led development projects in line with division-level priorities and plans.

The event’s objectives include strengthening engagement between national leadership and young people, demonstrating organised and disciplined youth participation in national politics, and laying a foundation for long-term youth empowerment initiatives.

“This conference demonstrates the confidence, unity, and readiness of Uganda’s youth to actively support national leadership and contribute meaningfully to the country’s future,” Aya said.

A structured media programme has been put in place, with early morning registration, the main conference session at the Pearl of Africa Hotel, followed by the organised march. Designated media access and coverage zones will be provided to facilitate smooth and orderly coverage of the event.
