Kampala, Uganda – Youth Member of Parliament aspirant for Western Uganda, Tumwebaze Mwine, is set to host a mega event on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Front Page Hotel, Zzana, as he intensifies his campaign ahead of Monday’s vote.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of youth delegates from across Uganda, showcasing Mwine’s growing influence among young people and his ability to mobilize around issues of education, economic empowerment, health, and political inclusion.
Adding flair to the political gathering, celebrated Ugandan musician Eddie Kenzo will headline the event, giving it a festive touch and likely boosting turnout among enthusiastic youth supporters.
Mwine, a lawyer by profession and proud son of Mbarara with ancestral ties to Ibanda and Masindi, has been campaigning on a platform of expanding educational opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship through innovation hubs, modernizing vocational training, and enhancing youth political participation.
“This is not just about politics—it’s about giving our generation a voice, an opportunity, and a future worth believing in,” Mwine said in a recent campaign message.
Sunday’s event comes at a crucial moment, with delegates preparing to cast their votes on Monday. Political observers note that Mwine’s ability to merge policy-driven conversations with cultural and entertainment appeal could play a decisive role in swaying undecided youth voters.
If elected, Mwine pledges to prioritize reforms in the Higher Education Students’ Financing Board, push for affordable internet access, and lobby for health and wellness programs targeting the youth.
As anticipation builds, all eyes will be on Zzana this Sunday, where politics, music, and youthful energy are expected to converge in what could be a defining moment for Tumwebaze Mwine’s campaign.
