Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni on Monday, hosted Dr. Khaled Kaim, the Senior Political Advisor to the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Yunus Al-Menfi, at his country home in Rwakitura, in the western part of the country.
The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Uganda and Libya.
Dr. Kaim delivered a special message from President Al-Menfi, which highlighted Libya’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Uganda in areas such as trade, investment, and mutual development.
President Museveni warmly welcomed the envoy and reiterated Uganda’s dedication to fostering partnerships that promote economic growth and regional stability. The leaders discussed key opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas of shared interest, underscoring the importance of African unity and integration.
This visit marks a significant step in revitalizing the historic ties between Uganda and Libya, which have long worked together on initiatives aimed at advancing progress and solidarity across the continent.
