The Senior Presidential Advisor and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has heaped praise on Soroti’s Assistant Resident City Commissioner (ARCC), Julius Enyalu, describing him as a steadfast and reliable leader who has been instrumental in enabling the ONC’s programs to run seamlessly in the region.

“He works for the people,” Hajjat Hadijah said, applauding Enyalu’s unwavering support and commitment to community empowerment. She emphasized that his dedication has made a remarkable difference in mobilizing the Bazzukulu ba Jajja for government initiatives.

This recognition came on Friday during a massive empowerment event at Katine Subcounty Grounds in Soroti District, where tens of thousands of enthusiastic youth and women — fondly known as the Bazzukulu ba Jajja — gathered to receive wealth creation items from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s ONC.

Arriving with vibrant energy and a message of economic transformation, Hajjat Namyalo handed over a wide array of startup tools including sewing machines, farm sprayers, chapati-making machines, and brick-laying kits.

These items, she said, are intended to support the beneficiaries in starting their own businesses, fostering self-reliance, and contributing to Uganda’s broader economic growth.

The event marks yet another milestone in ONC’s ongoing mission to reach the grassroots and implement President Museveni’s vision of an inclusive and empowered Uganda, with youth and women at the center of transformation.

Local leaders, cultural performers, and community mobilizers all contributed to the lively atmosphere, which highlighted the growing support for the government’s empowerment agenda in the Teso sub-region.
