Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has highlighted the critical importance of global trade benefiting the entire world rather than just a select few countries.

The president was speaking at the 3rd Uganda-EU business forum held at Munyonyo on Wednesday.

Expressing his concerns about the lack of dialogue, President Museveni urged European ambassadors to communicate with their respective governments, emphasizing the need for meaningful discussions to pave the way for inclusive global prosperity.

The President asserted that all political actors must recognize the significance of global affluence in benefiting people worldwide. He called upon the business community to actively engage and encourage political actors to participate in these crucial discussions, underscoring the pivotal role that businesses play in shaping international relations.

President Museveni’s appeal extended to rejecting ideological chauvinism, emphasizing the detrimental effects of forcefully imposing ideas on others. He urged for an end to arrogance and proposed a shift towards influencing people through leading by example, a departure from long-standing mistakes.

The President’s call for open dialogue and cooperation reflects Uganda’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and prosperous world through shared economic growth and mutual understanding.
