Ugandan Minister Frank Tumwebaze and Russia’s ambassador to Uganda, Vladlen Semivolos have met and held talks to pave the way for enhanced collaboration in Uganda’s agro-industrial domain. The meeting, held on November 30, sparked discussions focused on bolstering bilateral ties and exploring avenues for mutual growth in agriculture.
Ambassador Semivolos, expressed his nation’s keen interest in leveraging Uganda’s agricultural potential. He lauded Uganda’s strides in the agricultural sector, acknowledging the nation’s fertile land and diverse crop cultivation.
Minister Tumwebaze, overseeing Uganda’s Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries, reciprocated the enthusiasm for collaboration. He outlined Uganda’s commitment to harnessing modern agricultural techniques and technology to boost productivity, ensuring food security and economic development for the country.
The dialogue encompassed various facets of cooperation, including knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and investment opportunities. Both parties deliberated on potential joint ventures and initiatives aimed at bolstering the agro-industrial landscape in Uganda.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a working group that will explore specific areas of collaboration, fostering a roadmap for future agricultural partnerships.
