Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, has announced the reconciliation between Kiconco Brenda and Tanga Collins, the two contenders in the recently contested NRM Youth League Chairperson race.

The announcement was made during the National Prayer Breakfast held at State House Entebbe, where Tayebwa commended both leaders for embracing unity and choosing to put the party’s interests above personal differences.

“I am pleased to inform you that Kiconco Brenda and Tanga Collins have reconciled. They have demonstrated true maturity and commitment to the spirit of our party,” Tayebwa said, drawing applause from the gathering.

The Deputy Speaker later presented the two to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who also serves as the National Chairman of the NRM.

The reconciliation follows a heated NRM Youth League election that was nullified and had to be repeated due to irregularities. The decision to mend relations is expected to restore harmony among the party’s young cadres and strengthen the league’s organizational unity ahead of upcoming political activities.

Observers say the gesture by Kiconco and Tanga sends a strong message of forgiveness, teamwork, and loyalty to the NRM’s principles of patriotism, unity, and service.
