Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), has announced that the organization currently boasts at least 4,000,000 members, citing research conducted by a senior and trusted member.
Speaking on the league’s structure and discipline, Gen. Muhoozi said, “PLU is more united now than ever before. If there are any spoilers amongst us, we shall not hesitate to discipline them. We are an extremely disciplined movement.”
He emphasized that the PLU differs from other political groups, noting, “PLU does not have ‘Foot soldiers’ like reactionary parties such as NUP. Those seek to follow the commands of the imperialists. We have Patriotic Officers (POs) and Patriotic Cadres (PCs). We are a revolutionary party.”
