CDF Gen Muhoozi Reinforces Ties with British Armed Forces

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba held a meeting with the British High Commissioner to Uganda, Kate Airey, on Monday evening. She was accompanied by the UK Defence Attaché to Uganda.

According to the CDF’s office, the meeting was not only a platform for diplomatic engagement but also included the exchange of a congratulatory letter from the British Chief of the Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin KCB, ADC. The letter highlighted the importance of the bond between the two military entities and commended Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for his role in reinforcing it.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who received military training from the UK’s prestigious Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the traditional warm relations between the UPDF and the British Armed Forces.

His background and experience underscore the significance of the partnership, which spans training, capacity-building, and strategic cooperation.
